Public Register
The College has an online Public Register of Regulated Canadian Immigration Consultants (RCICs) and Regulated International Student Immigration Advisors (RISIAs).
Anyone can use this Public Register to help verify a Canadian immigration consultant’s status as a licensee of the College.
Note: It is an offence punishable by law for someone to provide Canadian immigration advice for a fee or other consideration without being licensed by the College, a Canadian law society, or the Chambre des notaires du Québec.
If your immigration consultant does not appear in our Public Register, you may also check the Government of Canada website to determine if they are authorized by another organization.
What is the College’s Public Register?
The Public Register is an important tool to combat immigration fraud and help the public avoid working with Unauthorized Practitioners (UAPs). A UAP is anyone who illegally provides Canadian immigration advice for a fee or other consideration without being licensed by the College, a Canadian law society, or the Chambre des notaires du Québec.
The Public Register is the official record of Regulated Canadian Immigration Consultants (RCICs) and Regulated International Student Immigration Advisors (RISIAs) maintained by the College.
Use the Public Register to verify if someone is a College licensee, if they are in good standing, if they have been subject to Disciplinary Actions and any associated Disciplinary details.
UAPs are not regulated and you will not find their names on the Public Register. To report a possible UAP, visit the College Portal. You will need to create a College Portal account to access and complete our online complaint form.

- Verify that the licensee is listed on the Public Register.

- Ask your immigration consultant to provide references and read reviews online.
- If you are in a job or study program, contact your employer or school directly with questions.
- If you are still unsure, contact the College.
